Mortal Kombat 11 has received a new update, and developer NetherRealm has taken away the blurring effect on Kabal's brutality, which sees him remove his mask.

The idea is that Kabal's face is so unimaginably scary that, when he screams at his foe, he scares them to death. The blurring effect was clever because it left this up to our imagination.

Not anymore:

As you can see, it resembles a chicken whose head has been filmed and frozen in mid-explosion.

This isn't the only thing that the update brings to Mortal Kombat 11; it also comes with a clutch of bug fixes, move list corrections, and improvements to the game's AI. For the full update notes, click here (thanks Eurogamer).
