From tomorrow, June 18, you'll be able to take part in Mortal Kombat 11's new, seasonal ranked mode: Kombat League.
Beginning with the Season of Blood, Kombat League will consist of four-week long seasons where the aim is to climb the ranks, and progress through the nine different tiers. You'll grab in-game rewards every time you unlock a rank, and each new season will bring different rewards with it. And different challenges, too. There are both seasonal, and daily, challenges for even more in-game items and whatnot.
I'm absolutely terrible at Mortal Kombat 11, so it is nice that the optimised matchmaking means that I, and other sorry souls like me, will be matched up against people of an equivalent skill level.
On top of that, those who've got the Kombat Pack will have early access to Shang Tsung, the first of six scheduled DLC characters, tomorrow too.
In his review for us, Mike He Who Shall Not Be Named called Mortal Kombat 11 'one of the most rewarding fighting games of the generation.' And now it only wants to reward you more, I guess.
