Masked warrior Kabal is officially making a comeback in Mortal Kombat 11, developer NetherRealm Studios has announced.

Kabal has been knocking around since Mortal Kombat 3 back in the mid-90s, and is notable for the fact he rarely shows his face and wields two deadly hooked blades. He skipped Mortal Kombat X however, so his return here is a welcome addition to the roster.

From the look of things he's still pretty fast, with some of his attacks seeing him zipping past his enemies to stun them momentarily. His fatality is gruesome; dragging his victim along the floor so fast that their skin and eyes peel off in a bloody trail. Lovely.

Mortal Kombat 11 is due out on April 23 for PlayStation 4, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.
