NetherRealm Studios has released a new trailer for Mortal Kombat 11, offering a proper glimpse at the series' hammer-wielding Big Bad, Shao Kahn.

Kahn has been a mainstay of the Mortal Kombat franchise since the second game, where he served as the final boss. He's showed up in numerous titles since, and aside from his hammer, is probably best remembered for his taunts. He'd utter such classics as 'Don't make me laugh' or 'You're still trying to win?' to piss off his opponent, and it usually worked.

Shao Kahn also showed up in the utterly garbage Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, where he was hammed up to the rafters by actor Brian Thompson.

Mortal Kombat 11 is due out on April 23 for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. Check out Shao Kahn in action below.
