Mortal Kombat 1 pre order beta start date

The closed beta for Mortal Kombat 1 will kick off on August 18, 2023 at 11am EDT/10am CDT/8am PDT or 4pm UK time as announced by the official Mortal Kombat Twitter account.

The beta will run until August 21, 2023 and close its doors at 11am EDT/10am CDT/8am PDT or 4pm UK time. That gives you three days of fisticuff fun ahead of the game’s full release in September.

Mortal Kombat 1 pre order beta how to sign up

At the time of writing, the only way to guarantee access into the Mortal Kombat 1 pre order beta is to, as the name suggests, pre order the game. However, it should be noted that the beta is only for those who pre order the game on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The beta will not be available on the PC or Nintendo Switch versions of the game.

However, it won’t matter which of the Mortal Kombat 1 preorder special editions of the game you opt for. So whether you’ve settled for the Standard, Premium, or Kollector’s Edition, rest assured you’ll get into this beta. Alas, being part of the game’s previous online stress test will not grant you entry into this beta.

If you’ve pre ordered the game digitally, you won’t have to lift a finger to get the beta itself, your console will allow you to download the beta client starting August 15, 2023. If you’ve pre ordered a physical copy through a retailer, however, read on.

Mortal Kombat 1 pre order beta how to redeem a beta code

If you’ve pre-ordered the physical version of Mortal Kombat 1, here’s how you’ll get into the beta. First, you’ll be provided a beta code by your retailer – check your receipt or your email for this.

Then, you need to create a Warner Bros Games account. If you already have one, skip to the next paragraph. Otherwise, visit the WBGames account website, and sign up following the instructions on the website.

Once you have your WB Games account, head to the website and login. Then visit the dedicated Account Betas section of the site. Then, enter the code under the ‘Redeem a Pre Order Beta Code’ option. Enter your code, hit ‘Redeem’ and then read the next screen and select ‘Accept and Continue’. You’ll then be offered a code for your console of choice – bear in mind you can only redeem this code on said console.
