EA Mythic and GOA opened the Warhammer Online Beta Centre for Europe and North America on May 30, and more than 200,000 registrations had been taken in less than ten days. According to EA Mythic this is great news, making the beta one of the most rapidly growing in the history of the MMORPG.
“We would like to thank the community for their tremendous response to Warhammer Online,” said Mark Jacobs, VP and General Manager of EA Mythic. “The overwhelming worldwide reaction to the beta test has been phenomenal.“
The Beta Centre is still open for applications, so those that want to take part should head over to www.war-europe.com.
“Such an amazingly high number of subscribers to the website and beta test is fantastic news and very encouraging,” commented Ghislaine Le Rhun, Senior Vice President of GOA. “It proves the game has already struck a cord with gamers who are hungry for the greatest MMO experience available.”
Warhammer Online is based on the Games Workshop tabletop fantasy war game and is scheduled for release on PC in Q1 2008.
