Eric Barone AKA ConcernedApe, the developer responsible for farm-em-up Stardew Valley has been speaking on Twitter about some new free content being added to the game on top of the previously announced multiplayer mode.
Although he wants to keep some of the content secret, Barone has revealed it’ll include a new town event for Winter, a new type of collection you can start on in Winter, editable signs, outdoor decorations that change depending on the season, more NPC events and a way to respec professions.
some things I’ve added for the new content update:
*new “town event” in winter
*new type of collection that you can start in your first winter
*Signs (can display any item on them)
*More outdoor decorations (some change w/ season)
*More NPC “events”
*A way to re-spec professions— ConcernedApe (@ConcernedApe) December 20, 2017
These additions should arrive (on PC first, with console versions to follow) alongside the update adding multiplayer to the game, which was originally expected to go into beta by the end of this year, but was recently pushed into Q1 2018 for more polish. A PS Vita port of the game for next year was also confirmed in the same blog post announcing the multiplayer beta’s delay.
