With E3 around the corner, Bizarre Creations has released some new info on Project Gotham Racing 4, one of the Xbox 360’s most anticipated titles.
The good news is that development is going well, with all deadlines having thus far been met. The development team has been working hard, making sure no detail is left out and to ensure the environments have a believable racing feel.
Much of the little details are handled by the racification team, whose job it is to add race furniture to all the cities. This includes turn markers, crowd stands, race teams and vehicles, ambient traffic, animated billboards and more. New in PGR4, players will notice that crowd members will be waving your flag and they’ll be trackside signs displaying how many Kudos points have been earned.
Bizzare has released a new screen (you can see it above) showing off one of the game’s new cities. The screen shows a yellow and black Armco barrier which Bizarre notes would have been grey and dull in PGR3. With the fourth game in the series the barriers are different colours based on the city, they’ll have logos and cars will also trade paint with them when they get a bit too close.
Expect plenty more info, movies and screens of PGR4 to appear next week during E3, and watch out for an imminent announcement regarding the game.
