Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Monster Hunter XX sales failed to meet sales forecasted by Capcom, as detailed in the publisher’s latest financial results (via Gematsu).

Monster Hunter XX sold 1.7 million copies in Japan after projections of shifting 2 million units, while Resi 7 sold 3.5 million copies worldwide, missing out on Capcom’s initial prediction by 500k.

This theme continued with Dead Rising 4 on Xbox One which managed to find its way into less than one million homes after Capcom  originally thought the Frank West return would shift two million units.

One million copies of the Xbox One and PS4 re-release of Resident Evil 6 were sold, though. Swings and roundabouts.
