Capcom has released a trailer of Monster Hunter (from the game series Monster Hunter) in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. The tough lass will be amongst the first DLC characters that’ll be added to the fighting game’s roster. She’ll also be joined by the Prince of Wakanda aka Black Panther, and Mega Man baddie Sigma. Monster Hunter had been seen previously as a non-playable character, but this trailer shows that she’s not one to be messed with. I mean, have you seen that sword?

It’s clear from the trailer that Monster Hunter is packing some incredible weaponry, all created from the results of her beast hunting, with teeth, bones and monster scales making up each one. She’s swift, brutal and pretty decent at stringing together a sequence of combos. She’s also a dab hand with the bow as well.

The storyline in Marvel vs. Capcom is absolutely crackers. Monster Hunter originally comes from Val Habar, except in MvC:I it’s been fused with Wakanda to become Valkanda. Yes, I agree. It doesn’t makes any sense whatsoever. All I do know is that Monster Hunter has been appointed as Black Panther’s woman-at-arms, making her pretty much his right hand.  Monster Hunter will be included as one of six DLC characters in the 2017 Character Pass, and this DLC will also feature Black Widow, Winter Soldier, Sigma, Venom and Black Panther.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is out now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
