Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on Wii U won’t support cross-region online play, Capcom has revealed. The news that gamers from the US won’t be able to play with gamers from Europe first broke on GameReactor, but was later confirmed on the Capcom Unity blog.

“Hi all, I’m not thrilled with the servers being split either…” said Yuri L. Araujo, Associate Online/Community Specialist, Capcom U.S.A. “I am definitely aware of the demand and feedback, not only in this thread, but also from threads before finding out these bad news; so be sure that I will pass it along. There is no guarantee this will change though. =/”

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is due for release in Europe on March 22 for Wii U and 3DS.
