LucasArts has announced that The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition will be released on July 15 for PC and Xbox LIVE Arcade.
The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition is a completely re-imagined version of the first game in the series that adds updated high definition graphics, a re-mastered musical score, and full voiceover to the classic adventure.
Today also sees the release of the much anticipated Tales of Monkey Island episodic game series from LucasArts and Telltale. Chapter 1, Launch of the Screaming Narwhal is out now for PC and will launch on WiiWare in the coming weeks.
