The latest game to arrive on Xbox Game Pass might be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, if the latest leaks are to be believed.
As of Microsoft’s partnership with Activision, Call of Duty’s games are slowly making their way to the subscription service. With Black Ops 6 confirmed to arrive on day one, it’s now inevitable for the other games to slowly arrive.
Developed by Sledgehammer Games and released in 2023, MW3 followed on from the MW2 in pretty quick succession. Insider Gaming claims that it is set to arrive later this month, but “couldn’t verify an exact release date by the time of the publication, but several sources have suggested it will be in the latter half of this month.”
Recently, Xbox announced a price-hike to the subscription model. This is likely in preparation for the release of Black Ops 6, which is going to surely see an influx in new subs and profits. Seeding this price increase with a recently released title – no matter how mediocre it reviewed – is surely a strategy designed to make things more worthwhile, though I think it’s the older Call of Duty games that players are more excited for.
This is a developing story, with more to come.
