Nintendo’s legendary designer has in all likelihood developed his last Wii game, having shifted his focus to the Wii U.

The creator behind Mario and Zelda spoke at a Q&A session in Los Angeles, stating that he always “focuses on newest upcoming platforms”, suggesting that Skyward Sword would be “one of the last if not the last” Wii title that he and his team will produce.

Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma affirmed this by declaring that he hopes Skyward Sword will be “good enough to close out the Wii”.

Fans will finally get their hands of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword this holiday season.
