Minecraft will make its on-disc debut in the UK on June 28 with the launch of Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition, Microsoft has announced.

Minecraft launched for PC back in 2009, but has never been available on-disc.

The disc version promises the same experience already enjoyed by millions worldwide, and once you connect to Xbox LIVE will update to the latest version.

The game will include a free 48-hour subscription to Xbox LIVE Gold.

There's currently no word on pricing, but Minecraft is sold at 1600 MS Points over Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

Have you been holding out for a retail release of Minecraft, and if so what price will you be willing to pay?
