As of December 31, 2012, Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition had sold five million copies, developer 4J Studios has revealed.
“On New Year’s Eve 2012, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition passed 5 million sales!” Tweeted the dev.
Prior to this announcement, Minecraft creator Markus Persson revealed that the franchise shifted 453,000 copies on Christmas Day.
4J is currently fixing up bugs found in Title Update 7 and continues to work on Update 8.
