Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has sold 3.6 million copies on Xbox LIVE Arcade, Mojang has revealed.
Posting on Twitter, Mojang’s Daniel Kaplan wrote: “Was really surprised to see that 3.6 million people have now purchased Minecraft for Xbox.”
News of the game’s sales on Xbox 360 follow confirmation of over seven million sales on PC. An additional one million + units shifted on mobile devices brings the grand total to somewhere in the region of 12 million copies sold.
Earlier this month it was revealed that the XBLA game was selling 17,000 copies each day.
