Minecraft: PS3 Edition has sold over one million copies since it launched on Sony’s platform five weeks ago, Mojang has announced.
“It is crazy considering the game was released just before Christmas last year,” wrote Mojang business developer Daniel Kaplan. “We are super grateful for the support and we are very thankful for your dedication and I hope you will like the future updates we have planned for you.”
At the time of writing the original PC game is fast-approaching 14 million sales, currently standing at 13.9 million. The PS3 Edition also has some way to go if it is to catch up with the 10 million-selling Xbox 360 Edition.
