Minecraft has now sold over 20 million copies across all formats, Mojang developer Jens Bergensten has revealed.
“About 10 hours ago, Minecraft (PC) hit 9,000,000 sold copies! Which should bring the total for all platforms to… 20 million?” Tweeted Bergensten.
He added that whilst the PC original remains the top seller, it’s the Portable Edition for mobiles which has most momentum.
“MCPE beats all,” said Bergensten. “In November 2012 it was at ~5 million sold copies, this week it’s at 7.3 million and not slowing down.”
