Minecraft will launch on PS Vita next Wednesday, October 15, 4J Studios has announced.
The developer posted a tweet confirming the game’s European release date along with a trailer:
#MinecraftPSVita passed final test and will be released on 15th October in Europe!

As yet there is no confirmed release date for North America. The Vita version features Cross-Buy for anyone who owns it on PS3. PS4 Minecraft owners can buy either the PS3 or Vita version at a reduced price.
4J Studios also confirmed it is now working on bringing all console versions up to date with the latest PC build.
We’re now working on an update for all Minecraft console editions to move up to the equivalent of Java 1.6.4 version.
