Update: Minecraft will be released on all three Sony platforms: PS4, PS3 and PS Vita, the game’s creator Markus “Notch” Persson has confirmed.

Original story: Minecraft, which has until now been absent from the PlayStation platform, will be released for PS4 at launch, SCEE announced today during its Gamescom press conference.

It’s not clear if the game will be available at day one, or during the launch window.

Sony also announced War Thunder, a free to play next gen combat game.

Microsoft hasn’t said when Minecraft: Xbox One Edition will be released, but the game wasn’t included in the console’s launch line-up.
