Midway have confirmed that they will be supporting the Xbox 360. Some people saw their lack of support for the console at its launch to be a sign of the company’s commitment to the console, but this is not the case. Speaking to Gamespot a Midway rep said that “Midway is fully supporting the Xbox 360 and we have games in development at all of our internal studios.”
“We have no less than seven Xbox 360 games currently in development in our internal studios targeted for release in 2006-8,” a Midway executive told Gamespot. One of these games was confirmed to be John Woo’s Stranglehold, which is in development for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
