Monolith has announced that Middle-earth: Shadow of War has been delayed. It will now launch on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on October 10.

Community Manager Andy Salisbury took to the game’s forums and said the date has been moved from August 22 so that developer Monolith can deliver ‘the highest quality experience.’

Salisbury added ‘We understand that it might be disappointing to have to wait a little longer for the release and are sorry for the delay, but we are working hard to make an amazing game. We’re excited to show more at E3.’

While this does mean that Shadow of War and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy no longer share a release date, it’s not like October is the quietest of months in the calendar.Â
