Rumors about major Xbox console exclusives coming to PS5 date back to early January this year. Original rumors pointed to Sea of Thieves and HiFi Rush, but then the rumors started going crazy with speculation that Sony could also be getting Gears of War and even the upcoming Indiana Jones game. Naturally, these rumors have sounded the alarm amongst the hardcore Xbox console fanbase.

It’s important to point out that all of the above are merely rumors as of writing. However, we are set to get answers later today, and the start time for the Microsoft Xbox announcement podcast is merely hours away. Make sure to tune in live for what could be a historical occasion.

When does the Microsoft Xbox announcement podcast start?

The start time for the Microsoft Xbox announcement podcast is 12 PM PT/ 3 PM ET/ 8 PM GMT on February 15th. Confirmation of these hours comes courtesy of the official Xbox Twitter account. There’s no mention of how long the podcast will last, but it should provide all of the answers players want.

Before announcing the podcast, the face of Xbox, Phil Spencer, vaguely responded to all the rumors circulating online about Microsoft console-exclusive games coming to PS5. How to listen to the Microsoft podcast

You will be able to listen to the Microsoft announcement podcast on the official Xbox YouTube channel. Other alternatives include ‘wherever you listen to your podcasts’ – so platforms such as Spotify, Stitcher or Apple Podcasts. You will be able to just listen to Phil Spencer and co speak, but you also have the video option of watching them discuss and share their plans.

Admittedly, for such a huge announcement, a podcast is an unusual format. But, unusual or not, here’s hoping Microsoft delivers everything that’s happening in a blunt and concise manner so all uncertainty is erased. A large portion of Xbox fans are naturally upset about all the rumors, so everything needs to be resolved and answered.

Xbox podcast rumours

As mentioned at the top of this article, there’s been a number of rumours floating around as to what exactly this podcast will reveal – although these have mostly centered around a potential multiformat future for Xbox.

Some of this is based around the belief that former exclusives – such as Sea of Thieves and Hi Fi Rush, as well as Bethesda titles such as Starfield – are set to come to other platforms. This has been sparked by evidence found by The Verge.

But there’s also been reports of internal missives within Microsoft to prepare for a future where Xbox is found in many places in the home. Several sources have reported to Inverse that Xbox President Sarah Bond told employees ‘every screen is an Xbox’ – again, seemingly indicating that you’ll be able to access Xbox games in more places.

For now, we’ll have to wait and see what Xbox has in store for the podcast itself – and exactly what they reveal.
