Anyone who plumped for a Windows Phone 7 over an iPhone because they were desperate for a mobile version of Kinectimals – of which I’m sure there were very few – can now kick themselves as the cutesy cub sim has sneakily made its way to the App Store.

The iTunes blurb states: “This irresistible mobile experience gives you the chance to use your phone to visit the island of Lemuria and play with, care for and fall in love with your very own cub. Bring your pet with you wherever you go!”

Adding: “If you’ve already experienced Kinectimals on Kinect for Xbox 360, your phone becomes the key to unlocking five new cubs on your console. Stand-alone mobile game features Kinectimals’ signature visual quality, delightful animation and brand new ways to play with your cub!”

The game is 178MB and is compatible with iPhone 3GS and above, third-generation iPod touches and above, and iPad.

Microsoft has also recently rolled out apps for Halo Waypoint and Xbox LIVE.

To annoy Windows Phone 7 owners even more, the iOS version of Kinectimals is 30p cheaper on the App Store.
