The early sales success of PlayStation 4, which has taken a lead over Xbox One, has not worried Microsoft, which remains happy with its plan for its new generation console, corporate vice president of Europe Phil Harrison has told GamesBeat.

“We’re 120 days into our platform lifecycle,” said Harrison. “You know better than anyone that this is a marathon, not a sprint. We’re happy with our plan. We’re happy with the performances of our key franchises and key partnerships, most notably Titanfall in the last couple of weeks.”

Regarding Titanfall, Harrison said the game is “blowing the doors off, literally and figuratively”.

Harrison says that lots more is to come from Xbox One.

“We have some big announcements that we’re going to unveil to the world in the next few months at E3 and Gamescom,” he concluded. “It’s show season again.”
