A live Inside Xbox stream at Gamescom in August will play host to the reveal of ‘all-new Xbox bundles and accessories,’ Microsoft has announced.

Interestingly, the company initially described the stream as featuring ‘all-new Xbox hardware‘ in the post, although quickly edited the blurb presumably because people were losing their s**t and expecting a new Xbox console.

Microsoft is of course working on new Xbox hardware, mind, but there never really was any chance it’d show up at Gamescom.

If that wasn’t enough, the format holder has also revealed that it will showcase 25 games at Gamescom, although Crackdown 3 was conspicuously absent in its blog post.

Forza Horizon 4, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, and State of Decay 2’s Daybreak Pack 2 are all name-checked, though.

‘This year at gamescom, we will be hosting a special episode of Inside Xbox, broadcast live from our Xbox booth in the Koelnmesse. Tune in on Tuesday, August 21, at 4:30 p.m. CEST (7:30 a.m. PDT) for lots of news, new Xbox One bundles and accessories, and features on upcoming titles that we can’t wait to tell you more about and perhaps even a few surprises!’ said Microsoft.

Gamescom taks place August 21 – 25.
