According to an unspecified Kotaku source, Konami’s Metal Gear Solid: Rising will be released in 2012.
Kotaku says it has been told the game will miss 2011, instead hitting stores in 2012, but Konami remains tight-lipped over the game’s release date.
Metal Gear Solid: Rising was unveiled at E3 2009, but around a year and a half later and we still haven’t seen very much on the game.
While a 2011 release date might have been expected, no such release date had been confirmed by Konami, so the alluded delay from 2011 to 2012 is unfair.
For now, it’s probably wise to take Kotaku’s info with a pinch of salt, though it could be true.
