A new Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater Remake teaser was revealed during the Xbox Partner Preview event in 2023, and the short clip not only exhibited the upcoming project’s stunning visuals but also gave fans an exciting look at Solid Snake in his stealthy element, as he skulks around enemies unaware. The brief trailer also confirmed that the game is being made using Unreal Engine 5, which likely means that it will only be available on current-gen consoles once it gets released.

Series followers should also be familiar with most of the settings shown throughout the course of the clip, as the brief video saw the protagonist venturing through crocodile-filled jungles and war-torn landscapes peppered with soldiers hellbent on taking down the camo-clad spy. With this in mind, the remake’s core plot and gameplay will likely remain faithful to the original – with several quality-of-life changes in tow, of course.

In addition, the recently released Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 was mainly disappointing to most fans, so this teaser is a much-needed palate cleanser that reminds players of the wonder of Hideo Kojima’s ever-popular creation. Unfortunately, an actual release date has yet to be provided by the developers, but if you want to take a look at what you can expect at launch, then check out the video below.

Despite the lack of a specific launch date, though, we expect Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater to be released at some point in 2024, as the scenes shown in the teaser already look polished and well-designed. However, this is mere speculation as of now, and it may not end up being released until a later date.

While you wait for the game’s actual launch, check out our Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 thoughts and Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Steam player reactions in the meantime.
