The Xbox One version of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain may feature some form of Kinect functionality, the game’s creator Hideo Kojima has said.

“The Kinect itself brings a lot of different capabilities as well and I will like to see what I can do with the voice command, and the movement with the gestures and see what we can do with that,” he said in an E3 interview published on Major Nelson’s YouTube channel.

This isn’t the first time Kojima has expressed interest in Kinect and camera-based technology in general.

Over E3, Kojima stated that he was unsure whether Sony’s decision not to include a camera as default with the PS4 was a wise move, saying: “Considering that the camera is so widespread in smartphones and tablets, I think it’ll build up to be the norm.”

Metal Gear Solid 5 will be released when it’s ready for Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One and PS4.
