The Metal Gear Solid series is famous for its cutscenes, MGS2 has one that ran to around 45 minutes, but in the latest and possibly final game in the Solid Snake saga gamers will need to prepare themselves for cutscenes approaching movie runtimes.
PSW magazine has told CVG that the game has several cutscenes that near the 90 minute mark, with the story said to be massive – described as the “videogame equivalent of all three Godfather movies”.
The good news is that if you’re coming to the end of a long gaming session and suddenly find yourself in a 90 minute cutscene it can be paused or skipped.
Issue 108 of PSW is on sale now and Metal Gear Solid 4 is scheduled for release on June 12.
