Konami has revealed that Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence will arrive in Japan in two versions: a normal package and a limited edition version for early buyers. Both versions of the game feature the same first and second discs. Disc one includes the original game complete with a third-person camera mode, demo theatre, and link up with Metal Gear Acid.
Disc 2 will include an online mode with sneaking missions, team deathmatch, capture missions, and rescue missions. There is also a dual mode where you take on all the game bosses, a mini game with the monkeys from Ape Escape, a secret theatre mode, and MSX2 versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake.
The limited edition will come with a third disc featuring a three and a half hour cut of Snake Eater’s movie sequences with all new re-mastered audio. Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence is to be released in Japan on December 12th retailing at 5930 yen. On the same day a package bundled with a headset will also be released, priced at 7980 yen. Currently there is no information on Subsistence making its way to western audiences, but we think a release is highly likely considering we have been treated to Metal Gear Solid re-releases in the past.
