Famitsu magazine has revealed that a special peripheral called the “Solid Eye” will come bundled with Metal Gear Acid 2 on the PSP. The peripheral, which looks like a pair of binoculars, will allow gamers to view parts of the game in 3D.

A brief interview in the with director Shinta Nojiri in Famitsu reveals that Metal Gear Acid 2’s story will be completely separate to the story in the original game, and will see Snake infiltrate a military faction where he discovers a new Metal Gear. Joining snake will be a new heroine named Venus. Also new to the sequel is a Wi-Fi battle mode where you can challenge a friend, with each player taking control of two characters.

Metal Gear Acid 2 is due for release in North America on November 15th and in Japan on December 8th, but with the original only just arriving in Europe don’t expect it here any time soon.
