Capcom has released a new trailer for upcoming expansion Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, revealing a new monster in the form of Glaveenus as well as offering some more details on the additions the expansion brings to the game in a developer update.

First off, the Gathering Hub will see some improvements in the expansion, as you'll now have quick access to the other important facilities without having to back out into the larger home hub area to visit the Smithy, Resource Center, Botanical Research Center, and Argosy. Groups are also seeing improvements, with new Squad Sub-Leaders and new squad management tools. Finally, new customisation options will be added for the Your Room functionality, and you'll even be able to invite friends to see your personalised space in a future title update.

On top of this, the videos also show off two new subspecies of monster – those that were in the original Monster Hunter World but now have new elemental affinities and behavioural variations thanks to the new conditions brought about on Iceborne's map – the Fulgur Anjanath, which now harnesses the power of electricity, and the Ebony Odogaron which is far more agressive than its vanilla MH World counterpart.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is set for release on September 6 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 with a PC release soon after.
