Aside from the other 90s remake, new footage and a story trailer from third person adventure remake MediEvil was also featured on last night's State of Play broadcast.

The PlayStation 4 exclusive now has a release date of October 25 and as you can see from the trailer below, appears to be coming along nicely. In case you're not familar with the original –  you play as Sir Daniel Fortesque, a brave(ish) knight who gets a second chance at heroism after he's ressurected by the machinations of the evil sorcerer Zarok, and most defeat him to restore order to the land of Gallowmere.

As well as the obvious graphical upgrade, we're also promised new content, including all new narration and 'a whole casket of secrets' to be uncovered through the course of the game. There'll also be a Digital Deluxe Edition available, featuring an in-game armour set, an art book, soundtrack and digital comic book bundled in with a dynamic theme.

MediEvil launches exclusively on the PlayStation 4 on October 25.
