According to the NPD Group, THQ’s UFC 2009 Undisputed sold over a million units in the US during the month of May – 679,600 units on Xbox 360 and 334,400 units on PS3.
EA Sports Active also had an impressive launch in the US, selling 345,800 units – only 7,000 units behind Nintendo’s Wii Fit. Sony’s PS3 exclusive inFamous is also a new entry with 175,900 units, approximately half the unit sales of UFC on PS3. It will be interesting to see how the game performs in its second month.
Nintendo’s Punch Out!! on Wii is also a new release, although sales of 156,900 units see it chart behind Mario Kart Wii. Elsewhere in the Top 10 Pokemon Platinum moved 168,900 units, X-Men Origins: Wolverine sold 120,700 units on Xbox 360, and Wii Play managed 109,800 units.
