South Park co-creator Matt Stone has kicked off about the cuts made to the European versions of The Stick Of Truth.

A total of seven scenes and around “30-40 seconds” of content were replaced with written text explaining what gamers would’ve been seeing if they were living, for example, in the United States.

“We weren’t going to change the content, so we’ve written little cards to explain what is going on, what they’ve censored, and made a joke out of it.

“We wanted people to know exactly where the line was: this is what you couldn’t see for some reason, the rest of the world could, and we have no idea why. It’s not cool – it’s lame, ridiculous and stupid.”

Stone also hinted that a new movie from himself and Trey Parker could be on the way at some point, and arguably that won’t be restricted at all.

South Park: The Stick of Truth is released today. You can read our review here, and a quick follow-up about said review here.
