In Halo 4, Master Chief will not be the same man he was at the end of Halo 3.
Even from the short teaser trailer, fans have picked up on several aesthetic differences to the Chief, namely omissions (the Spartan codpiece) and additions (a jetpack) to his armour.
This reflects a change in his very outlook, 343 Industries has hinted.
“There’s some story behind his new look,” studio boss Frank O’Connor told IGN. “There are specific reasons why he looks the way he does and why some of his behaviours have changed. We’ll see in good time.”
“A lot of things have changed in that intervening period,” he explained.
Aside from the changes to this armour, there’s not a whole lot to go on from the short teaser trailer.
