Mass Effect Andromeda will make use of peer-to-peer networking for its multiplayer gameplay, rather than dedicated servers, producer Fernando Melo has confirmed on Twitter.

Mass Effect 3 also opted for P2P.

The news follows BioWare’s stealth announcement that its planned Mass Effect Andromeda multiplayer tech test had been cancelled.

EA Access members will be able to begin playing Andromeda from March 16, with the full game launching on March 23.
