The Mass Effect Andromeda Multiplayer Tech Test has been cancelled, BioWare revealed without fanfare in a blog post about its PAX East attendance.
“While we will have live multiplayer at PAX East, there will no longer be a multiplayer tech test for players at home. Thank you to everyone who signed up. We look forward to seeing you in Andromeda,” reads the blog.
No reason for the test’s cancellation has been given, though Andromeda producer Fernando Melo did offer a comment on Twitter.
Sorry we won’t have MPTT. I know many were looking forward to it (as were we). Long story but right decision for how close we r to live 1/4

Indeed the game’s launch is pretty close, especially for those who will begin playing early on March 16 via EA Access. The game launches in the UK on March 23.
Let’s hope the game’s multiplayer hits the ground running, and doesn’t require weeks of balancing and server tweaking which could have been solved by the tech test.
