Mass Effect 3 has been bumped from its late 2011 release window to a wintrier Q1 2012 period, BioWare has announced.
That means the third part of the sci-fi epic is now scheduled to be released between January and March 2012.
BioWare executive producer Casey Hudson snuck the announcement into a brief status update on Facebook.
“Mass Effect 3 will be released in the first three months of 2012,” wrote Hudson. “The development team is laser focused on making sure Mass Effect 3 is the biggest, boldest and best game in the series, ensuring that it exceeds everyone’s expectations.”
New screenshots of Mass Effect 3 hit the internet this morning.
Both Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 received similar delays, with Mass Effect 2 eventually making January 2010 its month.
At current time 1,446 people have ‘Liked’ the delay on Facebook. I, on the other hand, am devastated, but at least it will give us more time to focus on Skyrim when it comes out this November.
