The game was originally set to release in October, but was delayed to an – up until now – unknown date within this fiscal year.

2K has also released a series of animated shorts, focused around several of the characters and providing backstory ahead of the game’s release.

They include Lilith, Blade, Magik, Ghost Rider and Nico Minoru- the core Midnight Suns. There’ll be five videos in total, with the first premiering on October 31 on the Marvel Entertainment YouTube channel.

Creative director Jake Solomon said the following on the shorts. “”In Marvel’s Midnight Suns, we knew we had a really cool opportunity to dive deep into the dark side of Marvel and introduce some supernatural heroes that may be new to many Marvel fans.”

“Marvel’s Midnight Suns Prequel Shorts shed light on the events leading up to the game and really brings the world of Marvel’s Midnight Suns to life.”
