NetEase released Season 6 of Marvel Rivals on Friday morning. Deadpool is now a playable hero, and we have access to a new Battle Pass. Furthermore, the game developer has made several improvements, including a new proficiency system with exclusive rewards.

Besides balance changes, gameplay has remained more or less the same. However, bots have gotten even worse in the new update, which is currently one of the most significant problems the game is facing. To make things even worse, NetEase may not do anything about bots anytime soon.

Bots have received a big update in the new Marvel Rivals season

Marvel Rivals allows you to play against AI opponents to sharpen your skills. There are three difficulty levels, and you can use them to learn a new hero or solidify your map knowledge. Unfortunately, even if you do not enter one of these modes, you may still get AI opponents.

If you frequently play Quick matches, you may have noticed the abundance of bots in this mode. After two or three losses, you will be put in a bot lobby, which allows you to win easily. While this is great for farming hero proficiency and unlocking free Units, it ruins the game’s competitiveness.

With the release of Season 6, Marvel Rivals bots have received a significant upgrade. They can now wear different skins for heroes, which makes it difficult to spot them. Many players have called this change deceitful, as it appears that NetEase has no interest in removing bots from Quick Play.

The good news is that ranked mode has no AI opponents. This mode is quite competitive, so if bots are a problem for you, you can try it out. Be careful, however, as the number of toxic players you encounter will be much higher on your journey to the One Above All rank.
