Marvel Rivals Season 6 is finally out, and we can access all the new content. Deadpool is a new playable hero, and he can be used in any role you wish, while many existing characters have gone through significant changes. However, the biggest change may be a new proficiency system.

Before Season 6, you could get every hero to the Lord status. This would unlock a special avatar that you could show off during the match. Getting your favorite heroes to Lord was considered mastering them, but that is no longer the case.

How long to reach the Champion status in Marvel Rivals?

The latest Marvel Rivals update brought many new levels beyond Lord. By reaching these levels, you can unlock exclusive rewards, from free Units to cosmetics. However, reaching the Champion level, which is the last one, requires you to spend hundreds of hours on a single hero.

To put this into perspective, reaching Lord usually takes 20 hours. Now, you need to spend a lot more time playing your favorite characters to unlock all the exclusive rewards for them. Fortunately, the payoff is worth it, as you will unlock so many cool cosmetics that cannot be obtained in any other way.

The good news is that you do not have to start from scratch. If you already have a Lord hero, you will receive significant progress in the main system. This is especially true if you have accumulated additional points after reaching the Lord status.

Considering the inflation of Lords in Marvel Rivals, it was only a matter of time before NetEase added a new proficiency system. Now, one-trick players will be happy about the change, while those who farm top-tier rewards with every hero have an impossible task ahead of themselves.
