Marvel Rivals Season 3 Battle Pass is scheduled to release on Friday, July 11th. NetEase has done a great job once again, bringing many fantastic cosmetics for the game’s heroes. The skins will be based on symbiotes and Phoenix Force, which are the two main themes of the upcoming season. However, the game developer has also made a change that is quite controversial.

The upcoming seasonal pass will bring numerous rewards, as has been the case in the past. Unfortunately, the early version of Marvel Rivals Season 3 shows one key reward missing from the new pass, which is not something players are happy about.

The new Marvel Rivals Battle Pass doesn’t have free skins

EDIT (July 10): NetEase just confirmed that the upcoming Battle Pass will have two free skins. The early access version still hasn’t been updated, but once the new update comes out, everyone will be able to unlock new skins for Groot and Rocket Raccoon.

On Thursday, July 3rd, several content creators got early access to the new season of the game. Thanks to this, they were able to show off all the new content coming to Marvel Rivals, from Phoenix to the new Battle Pass. Interestingly, the current version of the seasonal pass doesn’t have any free skins, which is quite shocking.

All the skins in the new Marvel Rivals pass are marked as Luxury items, which means that they require a purchase.

This doesn’t seem to be a mistake, as many other items are free in the new seasonal pass. Once again, it will include some free Lattice and Units, and Unstable Molecule, the currency used for Costume Colors and ultimate special effects, will also be available.

On the bright side, we’re still a week away from the official release of Season 3. The early access version of the game may differ from what ultimately goes live on public servers. With this in mind, it’s likely that NetEase will adjust the Battle Pass, possibly making several skins available for free.
