Marvel Rivals is just over two weeks away from the release of a new season. NetEase will drop Season 4 on September 12, bringing new content to the popular hero shooter. This content will include a new hero, who will likely be a tank or a healer. However, before this comes out, players hope that the game developer will fix an existing hero.

Season 3.5, which came out in early August, brought Blade, a new Duelist. Unfortunately, this character has been so broken that he’s nearly unplayable. Even though he was buffed in the latest update, Blade is still quite weak, and it’s mostly because of all the issues he has.

Blade might be one of the weakest Marvel Rivals characters

NetEase may have dropped the ball with the last two characters in Marvel Rivals. Season 3 brought Phoenix, which received little to no hype, while the latest update added Blade. Even though the vampire hunter is fun to play, the biggest issue with him is that he’s another Duelist. Furthermore, he seems to be broken beyond repair.

Reddit user Fearless_Data_1512 recently pointed out several major flaws with Blade, which make him nearly unplayable:

  • He does not get healing from Luna Snow’s snowflake in vampire mode
  • Blade also doesn’t get heals from Rocket’s healing balls in this mode, only on direct hits
  • The hero is also not affected by Adam Warlock’s healing stream in vampire mode
  • Dr. Strange and Emma Frost gain resources while hitting Blade in vampire mode

With Marvel Rivals Season 4 coming out soon, it will be interesting to see if NetEase will fix the newest Duelist. For now, Blade has too many issues, and it’s no surprise that many players consider him a throw pick.
