Super Mario Bros. 3 boss fella Boom Boom is being added to Mario Tennis Aces as a playable character as soon as February 1, the Big N has announced.
Bowser's loyal flunkie will be available to anyone who participates in the online tournament during February. After this, Boom Boom will be rolled out for everyone else starting March 1.
Boom Boom first showed up in Mario Bros. 3, where you had to bonk him on the head three times to defeat him. If only boss battles were that easy nowadays, eh?
Mario Tennis Aces came out in June for the Switch, and we thought it was pretty decent. Nintendo has been steadily updating the game ever since, so it hasn't exactly been hurting for fresh content since its initial launch.
