Mario sure does throw a good party, evident by the fact he is soon to host Mario Party 8 for the Wii. Nintendo has today announced that the game will be released across Europe for Wii on June 22.

Mario Party 8 features all the old favourites including Mario, Luigi, Peach and Yoshi, and sees players moving around the board by throwing a dice, and at the end of each turn they’re faced with a fun and challenging mini-game.

The Wii Remote will be utilised to its fullest with a selection of unique and exciting gameplay styles on offer for each mini-game. These games include snowboard racing, a race on a tightrope, boat racing and a cake decorating contest. Mii characters will also make an appearance in certain mini-games.

Party Tent is the game’s main mode and sees players take on the computer or up to three friends, or if you can’t get enough of the mini-games then players will be able to head off to the Mini-Game Tent. Other game modes include Star Battle Arena, the Extras Zone and the Fun Bazaar.
