Wii owners desperate for a new game to play, in particular those waiting for Mario Party 8 this week, should prepare for a disappointment. Nintendo has revealed that production problems with the English version of the game have prevented it from shipping this Friday.

The game will now be released in the UK on July 13, some three weeks later than planned.

Mario Party 8 features all the old favourites including Mario, Luigi, Peach and Yoshi, and sees players moving around the board by throwing a dice. At the end of each turn they’re faced with a fun and challenging mini-game such as snowboard racing, a race on a tightrope, boat racing and cake decorating.
