Mario Kart 8 will launch on Wii U in May, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has announced.
“Today we would like to announce that a key title for Wii U this year, Mario Kart 8, is scheduled to be released globally in May,” Iwata announced during Nintendo’s corporate management planning meeting.
“To create huge momentum, we would like to ensure that the release of titles such as Mario Kart 8 is not a one-off event.”
Further titles and release dates will be announced at other opportunities such as Nintendo Direct.
It’s late spring, but at least we now know one of the most anticipated Wii U games is only 3-4 months away.
